Dodie P. Tschirch, Vice President, Government & Public Affairs, Cablevision Systems Corporation, joined the WICE Board in 2006. Dodie’s responsibilities at Cablevision Systems include directing local, state and federal government affairs, regulatory affairs, community and media for Cablevision’s Long Island operations. She also oversees franchise development and compliance, maintains relationships with appropriate governments and monitors regulatory matters.
Dodie has over 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Cablevision in 1998 she held the position of Vice President, Government Affairs and Communications, for Colony Communications, Inc. in Providence, RI, a national cable television company owned by The Providence Journal Company. She has served on the Boards of Directors for the New England Cable Television Association, the Cable Television Public Affairs Association and was Founder and First President of the New England Chapter of Women In Cable & Telecommunications.
