<div>
<p>This effort supports the Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standards (EEPS), ensuring the timely and accurate submission of evaluation plans and program impacts to the Department of Public Service (DPS) and support statewide and regional evaluation efforts.</p>
<p>Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Review and analyze program savings impact reports ($, kW, and kWh) and process evaluations of energy efficiency programs and identify and support the implementation of change for areas of improvement.</li>
<li>Coordinate the data gathering and scheduling among the program managers, Implementation Contractors (IC’s) internal stakeholders (MED, Billing, etc.) and the evaluation contractor to ensure complete, timely and accurate data gathering.</li>
<li>Participate in on site facility/project inspections with consultant to ensure consistent data gathering and gain a deeper understanding of said impacts.</li>
<li>Perform analysis and prepare regulatory mandated and required reports.</li>
<li>Assist with the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFPs) for evaluation efforts.  Review proposals and recommend selection of contractor following NYPA standards.</li>
<li>Prepare project schedules, develop milestones and monitor contract performance.</li>
<li>Review, process and track invoices and resolve discrepancies.</li>
<li>Coordinate implementation of a “Project Screening Tool” with Primavera data base, project managers and ICs to ensure transparent and accurate reporting of claimed energy savings.</li>
<li>Support feed-back loop to internal managers to communicate findings of ongoing evaluation efforts.</li>
<li>Review engineering algorithms  in NYS Technical Manual, developed to measure and estimate savings from a wide range of initiative efficiency measures, assessing application against existing NYPA energy efficiency projects.</li>
<li>Ensure standardization of assumptions and methodology in energy efficiency savings calculations.</li>
<li>Coordinate and participate with regional and state wide advisory working groups including, NYS Evaluation Advisory Group, Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership, Evaluation Measurement and Verification Forum (NEEP’s, EM&amp;V) research projects and various working groups of Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE)  and Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).</li>
<li>Special projects as assigned.</li>
</ul>

<div>Required Skills</div>

<li>Demonstrated ability to do statistical analysis.</li>
<li>Strong project management, technical writing and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Results driven with a demonstrated ability to work alone and a proven team player.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and flexibility in handling multiple assignments.</li>
<li>Advanced user of Excel and familiarity with Primavera.</li>
<li>Proficiency using database management, either in managing large volumes of data, or developing framework for databases.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Energy Efficiency measures and technology.</li>
<li>Solid grasp on Demand Side Management, Energy Efficiency and Demand Response programs preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.</li>
</ul>

<p dir="LTR" align="LEFT">Kristen has several years experience with NYPA, working in positions of increasing responsibility in areas of project management, energy management, construction and most recently energy program initiatives. As Lead Project Engineer, Kristen is responsible for managing several multi-million dollar energy conservation projects throughout the City of New York. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College and a Masters of Business in Management with a concentration in Infrastructure from Iona College.</p>

</strong><strong>Project Manager — Steam Generating Stations</strong></p>
<p>The project manager will be responsible for managing the design, funding, scheduling, and construction of capital/major-expense projects. Provides continual customer service, including off-hour project support and last-minute requests for on-site, hands-on technical guidance. Ensures all project-scoping documents are detailed to allow engineering to start design activities. Coordinates and participates in engineering design-review meetings. Establishes and manages project schedule. Oversees all project funding from appropriation to project closeout. Provides updates on current working estimates for all projects. Reviews all design packages by user organizations and Maintenance Services. Resolves all technical questions during the construction phase of the project. Performs field walks during construction.  Ensures all engineering packages and specifies all required startup testing that must be performed by contractor or company forces. Ensures all project documentation (as-built drawings, user manuals, instrument setting, system descriptions, etc.) is submitted to user organization. Conducts a project closeout meeting to develop lessons learned and corrective actions. Ensures proper closeout of all capital projects.</p>
<p>Education/experience required: Bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred); eight years of experience with power plants, outage coordination, project management, and writing technical reports. Previous supervision and coordination of in-house and contractor forces is required. Candidate must have knowledge of EH&amp;S rules and regulations as applicable to power plants.</p>

</strong><strong>Senior Specialist — Environment, Health and Safety (EH&amp;S)</strong></p>
<p>The EH&amp;S senior specialist acts as a liaison between generating-station personnel and company corporate departments for the timely and correct reporting of production and performance data. Reviews and audits production values and equipment tests submitted by stations, vendors, and internal company departments. Performs special research analysis of production values for use by other internal company departments and executives for budgeting and planning purposes. Provides critical data and reports in support of other company departments, including General Accounting, Forecasting, Gas Supply, Energy Trading, Energy Supply, Steam Engineering, and Corporate EH&amp;S. Provides timely reporting of data to, and interacts with, outside agencies, including NERC, PSC, FERC, and NYISO. Creates the monthly administrative staff report used by executives of the organization. Performs analytical support and studies, and generates reports and recommendations for special assignments related to any emergent company issues that require investigation and root cause analysis.</p>
<p>Education/experience required: Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering, physical science, chemistry, physics, biological science, or related discipline; two years of EH&amp;S experience, or Bachelor’s degree in a nonrelated field with one year of operating experience and two years of related EH&amp;S experience. Two years of documented work experience in regulatory compliance, environmental science, safety, industrial hygiene, chemistry, and/or waste management. Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations applicable to station operations is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required. Work experience in an operating power plant is preferred.</p>
<p><strong><strong>Steam Operations<br />
</strong>Specialist/Senior Specialist — Environment, Health and Safety (EH&amp;S)</strong></p>
<p>The specialist/senior specialist aids the steam generating stations with training and developmental needs. Establishes, implements and maintains systems and procedures to enable strong, effective safety and environmental compliance. Assesses routine and emergency performance concerning safety issues. Evaluates work performed by company personnel and recommends training requirements. Works with other training coordinators and Learning Center instructors to review current training, develop skill-enhancement classes, develop documented on-the-job-training for various procedures, and develop new and improved training curriculum in skills area.  Must be able to lead incident investigations, and develop and implement corrective actions based on the root cause. Develops and maintains performance metrics to measure training programs’ effectiveness, and coordinates required EH&amp;S compliance-related drills. Remains abreast of emerging EH&amp;S products and best practices that will assist in maintaining operations compliance. Provides advice and<br />
counsel to personnel on the procedures pertaining to and within the scope of the job. Serves as liaison<br />
to regulatory agencies.</p>
<p>Education/experience required: Bachelor’s degree; two years of relevant experience in power-plant operations and maintenance, or four years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.</p>
<p>Senior Specialist requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in power-plant operations and maintenance. Candidates with a master’s degree require two years of relevant experience.</p>
